The co-op model—what is it and how is it gaining momentum?
The co-op model is over a hundred years old. At Northeastern University, students spend a total of 18 months gaining paid professional experience. Other institutions offer variations of the co-op model, which is gaining currency as higher education becomes more engaged with issues of employability.
